Trellis Properties dialog: Titles and Labels tab

Note:

The components available in this tab depend on the type of trellis (simple or advanced) and the type of visualization with which you are working.

Use this tab of the "Trellis Properties dialog" to set properties that control the display of titles and labels for the trellis.

Components

Vertical Axis Title

Use this field to enter a title for the vertical axis.

Use measure name as axis title

Use this check box to specify whether to use the column name or names as the horizontal axis title.

Horizontal Axis Title

Use this field to enter a title for the horizontal axis.

Use column name as axis title

Use this check box to specify whether to use the column name as the vertical axis title.

Label Format

Use this box to select the format to be applied to the labels for prompts, rows, columns, sections, or any combination of these four. The options are:

Only column headings — Displays only the column headings.
As Folder.Column — Displays the column names with the lowest-level folder name from the Subject Area. For example, suppose that you have a column called Color in the Products folder. With this option, the column heading displays as Products.Color, rather than simply Color.

Prompt Labels, Row Labels, Column Labels, or Section Labels

Use this box to specify whether the label is shown. The options are:

On — Use this option to show the label.
Off— Use this option to hide the label.
On Rollover — Available only for rows and columns. Use this option to show the label but only when the mouse pointer is rolled over the column or column label.

Format Title

Use this button (which is displayed next to each Title field) to display the "Font Format: Item dialog," where you can format the title.

Legend Labels: Format Label

Use this button to display the "Font Format: Item dialog," where you can format the legend labels.

Visualization: Measure Tabs

Displays tabs that correspond to the measures (for example, Revenue and Billed Quantity) used in an advanced trellis. Click the tab of the measure for which you want to set visualization properties.

Horizontal Axis Labels, Vertical Axis Labels, or Data Labels: Format Label

Use this button to display the "Format: Item dialog," where you can format the horizontal axis labels vertical axis labels, or data labels.
