Use this dialog to specify for dashboard pages and analyses the settings for printing and exporting. You can:
Specify page settings for the output.
Specify items to include in the output, such as headers and footers
Select which layouts are to be available for printing and exporting
Create, edit, replace, and remove custom print layouts.
Dashboard pages are printed in Adobe Acrobat PDF format. Adobe Reader 6.0 or greater is required to print using Adobe PDF.
Notes: The print selections that you specify apply to PDF output only. If you then print the PDF on a local or network printer, then the print selections that are specified in the browser are in effect, such as the selection for paper size. |
This dialog is displayed from the Print & Export Options option in the Tools menu on the "Dashboard builder" toolbar and the Print & Export Options button on the "Analysis editor: Results tab" toolbar.

Components
Paper Size
Use this list to select the size of the paper to use.
Orientation
Use this list to select one of the following orientation options for PDF and Powerpoint:
Default — Uses the default PDF and Powerpoint orientation settings specified by your system administrator.
Custom — Displays options to specify the orientation (either Portrait or Landscape) for PDF exports and for Powerpoint exports.
Print Rows
Use this list to specify which rows are displayed, either all rows or only the visible rows.
Hide Margins
Use this box to show or hide margins in the PDF and Powerpoint output.
Include
Use these boxes to include the following items in the output:
Charts
Images
Formatting
Header
Footer
You can click Edit to display the "Edit Footer or Header dialog," where you can specify the layout and formatting of the contents of the header or footer. You can also specify whether to display the header or footer in the HTML output.
Note: Headers and footers that you include do not take affect for custom layouts. |
Wrap Text
This box is disabled and deselected when you set the Limit Column Width to x pixels field to a value greater than 0.
Use this box to specify whether to wrap the column text.
Limit Column Width to x pixels
Use this field to specify the number of pixels by which to limit the column width.
If you specify a value greater than 0, then the Wrap Text box is disabled and deselected (and the text is automatically wrapped). If you set the value back to 0, then the Wrap Text box is enabled and deselected.
Standard Print Layouts
Use this area to select which standard print layout options are to be available in the Print menu for the dashboard page. You can select Printable HTML, Printable PDF, or both.
Standard Excel Output
Use this area to select which standard Excel output options are to be available in the Export to Excel menu for the dashboard page. You can select Current Page, Entire Dashboard, or both.
Custom Print & Export Layouts
Use this area to:
Create, edit, replace, and remove custom print and export layouts. To do so, click the Custom Print & Export Layouts button to display the following options:
Create Layouts — (Available only if no custom layouts exist.) Use this option to create custom layouts for the dashboard page. Selecting this option:
Generates a new layout based on the standard layout.
Generates a BI Publisher report and data model.
Opens BI Publisher in a new window and displays the generated layout as a thumbnail in the BI Publisher Layout Editor, where you can edit, delete, or create layouts.
Note that the page settings and the header and footer settings are exported to BI Publisher. You can changes these settings in BI Publisher.
Create and Edit Layouts — (Available only if custom layouts already exist.) Use this option to edit existing layouts. Selecting this option:
Creates a new layout based on the standard layout, if you specify that you want to remove existing layouts in the warning message that is displayed.
Generates a new data model.
Opens BI Publisher in a new window and displays the generated layout as a thumbnail in the BI Publisher Layout Editor, where you can edit, delete, or create layouts.
Replace Layouts — Use this option to remove all existing custom layouts and create new layouts. Selecting this option:
Removes all existing layouts.
Generates a new layout based on the standard layout.
Removes the associated BI Publisher report and data model, and generates a new BI Publisher report and data model.
Opens BI Publisher in a new window and displays the generated layout as a thumbnail in the BI Publisher Layout Editor, where you can edit, delete, or create layouts.
Remove Layouts — Use this option to remove all custom layouts as well as the associated BI Publisher report and data model.
If custom layouts exist, they are listed in this area. Use this list to select which custom layouts are to be available for printing and exporting to Excel.
